This MSAccess tutorial explains how to set the tab order for the controls on a form using tab indexes in Access 2007 (with screenshots and step-by-step instructions).
See solution in other versions of Access:
Question: How do I set the tab indexes in Access 2007? When I change the number in the tab index field, Access does not retain this value.
Answer:Open your Access form in design view. Right-click on the object that you wish to change the tab order. In this example, it's the text box called ProductID.
In the Properties Sheet, click on the Tab Index property and a button (with the three dots) to the right of the property will appear. Click on this button.
A "Tab Order" window will appear. Select a row and drag it to the appropriate tab order position. When you have finished setting the tab order, click on the OK button.
