Question: In Microsoft Excel 2011 for Mac, how do I remove subtotals on a pivot table column?
Answer:Let's look at an example.
In the spreadsheet below, we have subtotals for each Discount, but we want to remove these.
Right click on the Discount field in cell B1 and select "Field Settings" from the popup menu.
When the PivotTable Field window appears, select the None option and click on the OK button.
Now when you return to the spreadsheet, the subtotals for each Discount are no longer visible.
